More Like, "Devil Bunny"

Yesterday, on the way to my (almost certainly) disastrous comp sci exam (gonna drop that minor), I saw possibly the stupidest thing I have ever seen: high heeled flip-flops. We're talking the plastic and foam variety in requisite garish colors, but with inch to inch and a half heels, little pointy ones. I was walking right behind her, mesmerized by the sheer ridiculousness of this beach-turned-runway foot apparel. Hot pink plastic straps, matching pink and orange flowered foam, the same foam as those cheapie numbers you got every summer at Target (or wherever your parents shopped). Yes, that same insubstantial foam; understandably this material is not suited to support the weight of an adult when focused on the area of a stiletto heel, even if it is only an inch tall. This resulted in the heel being sunken into the foam, angled to the outer edges of the foot; as flip flops aren't renowned for their ergonomic, structural stability. With each step the flip-flop rolled outward, the foot sliding dangerously close to floor contact.

I have gathered from my expeditions around campus that flip flops are in right now, for some reason unbeknownst to me; but hey if the shoe fits, right? But these, these are just a lawsuit waiting to happen.

"Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam. Spamity Spam..."

Damned spammers! I have just changed the comment setting to include a word verification step to prevent auto-spammers. I apologize for the pain in the ass that may be, but I had gotten two, from the same co, in an hour's time.

If you just can't get enough Psycho, and aren't yet acquainted with the services, I have posted a couple links to Atom enabled newsreaders. One is a list so you can have your choice of formats; the other is a free, web based service that I like so far.

"So, are they going to let you teach class yet?"

Perhaps it goes without saying that my favorite class is abnormal psych. ;) I attend each class with rapt attention, and sometimes severe amusement. The prof strongly reminds me of my pdoc, whom I love.
I just had my first exam last week, and I got a 98! Now that does include the two extra credit points we convinced the prof to give us since over half the class left after the exam, but I still got a 96, with very little, ok, almost no, studying (oops).

I just hope the social psych exam I took yesterday turns out as well.

(Back to abnormal) We are currently covering mood disorders... Let's just say, Psycho is well versed on this particular subject. ;) I am set. It was mentioned to me that I would need little-to-no studying on this section; I think that is correct. I sat with glee and barely suppressed laughter through discussion (think the "Beavis and Butthead" episode where they were threatened to not laugh during sex ed). I tried not to pipe up too much, or act like a know-it-all, but sometimes it's quite a strain to not roll on the floor in helpless laughter with tears streaming down my cheeks, then point and laugh at the wants-to-be-a-know-it-all-but-is-actually-clueless freshman who refuses to shut up. I just keep reminding myself that those people, through no fault of their own, don't have a clue, nor have they done the extensive research I have been all but forced to undertake.

Ah well, it does provide two and a half hours of amusement on Wednesday nights. %D

You may have noticed...

You may have noticed all the quotes around the page, or maybe not. Psycho and crew have a theory that you can speak entirely in song and movie quotes; sometimes I try to. There will be many more, but I will not cite the sources. If you can cite the source you win a prize...not quite sure what the prize is, other than the personal satisfaction of sharing Psycho's knowledge and/or interests, but hey I say, "Congrat's on a job well done." :)

Hello All

I have recently discovered that individual email correspodence takes far more time than I have (or should take, anyway), so I am creating this blog for interested people to keep up on general info. Don't worry, it doesn't mean I'll stop writing you. :)

Enjoy,
